Yemi is one of those extremely talented guys that plays

a big role behind the scenes. While he prefers to not be in the spotlight, his influence is felt all over the Boston Hip-Hop scene. He is the co-creator and the one to establish the well known brand aesthetic of Hoop Hop. He also serves as Treasurer for the 501(3)C.

Created by Bakari JB in 2013, Hoop Hop is now a collaborative effort. Each team member brings their own expertise and creativity to the table, which has helped the event grow to be much more than a basketball tournament. Beginning in 2017, Hoop Hop is now held at the Roxbury YMCA, which has allowed us to offer much, much more to attendees.
